Refund and Cancellation Policy
Special Teams University (STU)
Effective Date: October 14, 2026
Special Teams University (STU) is committed to providing professional long snapping instruction, individualized coaching, and high-quality training opportunities.
Because many of our programs involve dedicated coaching time, advance preparation, limited availability, and individualized services, we have established the following refund and cancellation policies.
By purchasing or registering for an STU program, service, or product, the purchaser agrees to the applicable terms outlined below, subject to applicable law.
1. Virtual Training Programs
Program Commitment
STU offers Virtual Training Programs requiring a fixed financial commitment of either six (6) or twelve (12) months.
Current program pricing:
-
- Six-Month Virtual Training: $275 per month for six months, totaling $1,650.
- Twelve-Month Virtual Training: $250 per month for twelve months, totaling $3,000.
Enrollment constitutes a commitment to the full duration and total cost of the selected program.
Monthly payments represent installments toward the total program cost, rather than a month-to-month membership that may be canceled without further financial obligation.
Cancellations and Refunds
Virtual Training Program payments are nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law or where STU fails to fulfill an applicable obligation.
Athletes who choose to discontinue participation before completing their agreed program term remain responsible for valid outstanding payments unless STU approves an alternative arrangement in writing or applicable law provides otherwise.
The following circumstances do not automatically release the purchaser from their financial commitment:
-
- Choosing to discontinue training.
- Failing to submit training footage.
- Missing scheduled meetings or evaluations.
- Not utilizing the available coaching services.
- Canceling automatic payments or removing a payment method.
Revoking authorization for automatic payments does not, by itself, cancel an otherwise enforceable agreement. However, STU will honor all legally applicable payment authorization and cancellation rights.
Early Termination Requests
STU understands that circumstances can change.
Requests for early termination will be evaluated individually.
At its discretion, STU may approve accommodations, modify remaining financial obligations, or release a purchaser from future payments.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law, previously completed payments remain nonrefundable.
All early termination agreements must be confirmed in writing.
Injury and Medical Accommodations
Athletes experiencing an injury or medical condition that temporarily prevents participation may request a training accommodation.
STU may approve a temporary suspension of training services while the athlete recovers.
During an approved suspension:
-
- Remaining unused training services will be preserved.
- Scheduled monthly installment payments will continue unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Once the athlete is able to resume participation, the remaining training services will be made available without additional charges for those preserved services.
An injury or temporary inability to participate does not automatically terminate the financial agreement.
Exceptions will be evaluated individually, subject to applicable law.
Program Completion
At the conclusion of the agreed six-month or twelve-month payment term, scheduled payments automatically end.
Virtual Training Programs do not automatically renew.
Continued participation requires a new enrollment and acceptance of the applicable program terms and pricing.
2. Private Training
Reservations and Deposits
Private training appointments with STU require a $600 reservation deposit to secure scheduled training dates and times.
The deposit is applied toward the total cost of training.
Standard private training sessions with Kyle Stelter in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, are currently $600 per session unless otherwise specified at booking.
Because private training appointments reserve dedicated coaching time and limit availability for other athletes, the following cancellation and rescheduling policies apply.
Complete Cancellations
If an athlete or purchaser chooses to cancel their private training reservation entirely rather than reschedule, the $600 deposit is nonrefundable, regardless of the amount of advance notice provided, except where required by applicable law.
Rescheduling Policy
Athletes who wish to reschedule their private training appointment may apply their deposit toward a future appointment according to the following schedule:
14 or More Days Before Training
-
- No rescheduling fee.
- The full $600 deposit transfers to the rescheduled appointment.
7–13 Days Before Training
-
- A $300 rescheduling fee applies.
- The remaining $300 deposit balance transfers toward the rescheduled appointment.
Less Than 7 Days Before Training
-
- The full $600 deposit is forfeited.
- A new $600 deposit is required to reserve another appointment.
No-Show
-
- Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice results in forfeiture of the full $600 deposit.
- A new deposit is required to schedule additional training.
Rescheduling notice is calculated from the start of the first scheduled training session. For reservations involving multiple sessions or training days, the first appointment determines the applicable cancellation window.
Rescheduled appointments are subject to availability.
Exceptional Circumstances
STU recognizes that injuries, medical emergencies, travel disruptions, and unforeseen circumstances can occur.
Requests for exceptions will be evaluated individually.
STU may waive or modify cancellation and rescheduling fees at its discretion, subject to applicable law.
Cancellations by STU
If STU cancels a scheduled private training appointment, the purchaser may reschedule without penalty or receive a refund of payments associated with the canceled, undelivered training services.
3. Pro Prep Camp and Combine Training
Registration and Refunds
All Pro Prep Camp and Combine Training registrations are final and nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Registration reserves an athlete’s participation in the selected event and contributes toward event preparation, staffing, facilities, and operational expenses.
If an athlete is unable to attend after registering and submitting payment, STU offers alternatives that allow the athlete to retain the value of their original purchase.
Option 1: Future Camp or Training Event Credit
The athlete may apply the full amount previously paid toward registration for a future eligible STU camp or training event.
-
- Credits are applied dollar-for-dollar toward the replacement event.
- If the new event costs more than the available credit, the purchaser is responsible for the difference.
- Any remaining credit balance is preserved for future eligible training.
Option 2: Private Training Credit
Athletes who cannot attend Pro Prep Camp or Combine Training may apply the full amount previously paid toward private training with Kyle Stelter in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Private training credits are applied dollar-for-dollar toward the cost of training at the rates in effect when appointments are scheduled.
For example:
-
- A $600 Pro Prep Camp registration provides $600 in private training credit.
- A $700 Pro Prep Camp registration provides $700 in private training credit.
- A $3,800 Combine Training registration provides $3,800 in private training credit.
Credits may be used across multiple private training appointments until the available balance has been exhausted.
The number of sessions available depends on the total credit balance and the applicable private training rates.
Any unused credit balance remains available toward future eligible STU training.
Travel, lodging, transportation, and related expenses are the responsibility of the athlete or purchaser.
Private Training Deposits Using Existing Credits
Athletes using Pro Prep Camp or Combine Training credits toward private training are not required to submit an additional cash deposit when they have at least $600 in available training credit.
Instead, $600 of the existing credit will be allocated toward the private training reservation deposit.
Once a private training appointment has been scheduled and confirmed, the appointment becomes subject to the Private Training Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy described in Section 2.
Any applicable cancellation or rescheduling fees will be deducted from the athlete’s available training credit.
If a deposit is forfeited, a new $600 deposit must be allocated from any remaining eligible credit or paid separately before another appointment is reserved.
Credit Conditions
The following conditions apply to all camp and Combine Training credits:
-
- Credits are valid only for the originally registered athlete.
- Credits cannot be transferred, sold, or assigned to another individual.
- Credits do not expire while STU continues offering eligible training programs, subject to applicable law.
- Credits have no cash redemption value except where required by law.
- Credits may be applied toward eligible training services at the rates in effect when those services are scheduled.
- Credits may not be used more than once or beyond the remaining available balance.
Event Changes or Cancellation by STU
STU reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event schedules, facilities, coaching staff, and programming when necessary.
If STU cancels an event, affected purchasers will be offered an appropriate refund or alternative remedy in accordance with applicable law.
Purchasers will not be required to accept training credit in place of a refund when applicable law entitles them to a refund.
4. One-Time Film Evaluations
STU One-Time Film Evaluations provide individualized technical analysis and coaching feedback based on footage submitted by the athlete.
All One-Time Film Evaluation purchases are final and nonrefundable, except where required by applicable law or when STU fails to provide the purchased service.
Refunds are not ordinarily provided for:
-
- Changes of mind after purchasing an evaluation.
- Failure to submit the requested footage.
- Delayed footage submissions.
- Choosing not to utilize the purchased evaluation.
- Disagreement with coaching feedback or technical recommendations.
Athletes are responsible for providing usable footage and any information reasonably necessary to complete their evaluations.
STU may request additional footage or information when necessary to provide an appropriate evaluation.
5. Merchandise Purchases
Final Sale Policy
All STU merchandise sales are final, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
STU does not accept standard returns or exchanges for merchandise due to:
-
- Changes of mind.
- Incorrect sizing selected by the purchaser.
- Personal preferences.
- Unwanted merchandise.
- Decisions not to use or wear a purchased product.
Customers are encouraged to review product descriptions, sizing information, and available options carefully before placing an order.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Merchandise
If a customer receives merchandise that is damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered, they should contact STU promptly.
Customers should include:
-
- Their name and order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs of the product when available.
STU will review the issue and provide an appropriate replacement, correction, refund, or other remedy consistent with applicable law.
Return Shipping
For returns approved for reasons other than an STU error or a legally required remedy, the purchaser is responsible for return shipping expenses.
Customers will not be required to pay return shipping costs where doing so would violate applicable law.
6. Exceptional Circumstances
STU understands that unexpected circumstances may affect an athlete’s ability to participate in training or attend scheduled events.
Requests for exceptions, accommodations, or modifications to the standard policies will be evaluated individually.
STU may, at its discretion:
-
- Approve alternative scheduling arrangements.
- Waive or modify cancellation fees.
- Provide applicable training credits.
- Adjust payment obligations.
- Approve early termination of a training agreement.
Any approved exception or modification must be confirmed in writing.
STU’s discretion under this section does not limit rights or remedies guaranteed by applicable law.
7. Refund Processing
When a refund is approved, STU will generally issue the refund to the original payment method when available.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institution.
All refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable legal requirements and deadlines.
8. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund Requests
All requests involving cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, payment arrangements, and training credits must be submitted in writing to:
coachstelter@specialteamsu.com
Requests should include:
-
- The athlete’s name.
- The applicable program, event, or service.
- The original purchase or registration information.
- The reason for the request.
- Any relevant scheduling information.
STU will review the request and communicate available options or an applicable decision.
All approved exceptions or changes to existing agreements must be confirmed in writing.
9. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights
This Refund and Cancellation Policy is subject to all applicable federal and state laws.
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive or restrict consumer rights, statutory cancellation rights, or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
If any provision conflicts with applicable law, that law will govern.
This policy should be read together with STU’s Terms and Conditions.
10. Policy Updates
STU reserves the right to update this Refund and Cancellation Policy as necessary.
Updated policies will be published on specialteamsu.com with a revised effective date.
Material changes will not retroactively modify the terms of an existing purchase or financial agreement without any consent required by applicable law.
